Cutler Reservoir Fishing – Bass, Catfish, and Carp in Cache Valley

🎣 Cutler Reservoir Fishing – Bass, Catfish, and Carp in Cache Valley

Cutler Reservoir, located on the Bear River in Cache Valley, Utah, is one of the state’s most underrated warm-water fisheries. It’s home to Largemouth & Smallmouth Bass, Channel Catfish, Common Carp, and a mix of panfish. With shallow water and abundant cover, it offers a fun challenge for anglers who enjoy variety and don’t mind a bit of mud.

🪱 My Experience at Cutler

I mainly fish Cutler for bass, catfish, and carp. It’s a place where every cast can bring something different. The bass hang near structure, catfish feed deep or in slow channels, and the carp put up some of the best fights you’ll find in northern Utah.

⚠️ Know Before You Go

  • Check the Utah Fishing Guidebook for current limits and rules. As of publication date the limit on Channel Catfish is 4.
  • Cutler can be weedy and shallow in late summer — a small boat or kayak helps reach better spots.
  • Multiple access points including Benson Marina and Cutler Canyon Marina.
